Mixed-Age Kindergarten
(ages 4-6)
Gifted children often develop asynchronously (academic and social skills), and our Kindergarten Guide observes each child closely to be able to individualize their education.
The Kindergarten class spend their days building, pretending, playing, climbing, drawing, painting, singing and laughing in our Waldorf-Inspired classroom. Elements like aromatherapy (essential oils), a heated floor, natural wood, fibers, plants, and classroom animals provide a calm, nurturing, and consciously designed environment for our students. Pre-reading and pre-math skills are taught through stories, songs, fingerplay, and experiential play.
Mixed-Aged Kindy students are required to be reliably potty trained. We do have a naptime built into the daily schedule for kids who need extra rest during the day.
In Mixed-Age Kindergarten (ages 4-6 years old), we honor the experience of being a child.
We provide opportunities to learn through music, art, exploration and play.
